The Fleming’s Went Honeymoonin’

Guess what we did? WE WENT ON OUR HONEYMOON. (it only took us eighteen months to get our butts there) Since we got married it has always been our plan to go to Lake Tahoe for our honeymoon but life always got in the way. So, we held on to that “honeymoon stage” of our marriage until we were able to make the trip. Eighteen months later we finally made it. This was also our first time since we married that we have went on a vacation that it was just the two of us. I did not realize that until we got there when I started to miss our couple friend that we usually go on all vacations with....Read More

Not Normal

My husband came home on Monday with our gifts for this year's Birthday Ball. I had asked for a shelf to be put up in our hallway to put these gifts on display and my husband told me no. The reasoning behind this no was that he did not want to do that at this house as if we were leaving soon. Keyword is the as if part of that sentence. We will more than likely be leaving soon but there is no such thing in plan yet. So why not hang the dang shelf? There is no more work to be done in our house, no change to be done, no new to be bought because of the possibility...Read More

The perfect gift for him

Trying to find the perfect inexpensive gift for men is the hardest thing that you will probably do this holiday season. You can ask but they won't tell you or they nicely plead for nothing. I have found such gift that I am sure any guy would appreciate. I hope this works out for the ladies searching. It a wallet insert! I wanted to get Jonathan something very different for our one year anniversary. I wanted it to be something manly enough that he would want to carry it with him which seemed impossible. Looking through the internet I found the perfect gift. I really do not think I will ever find a better gift for him.  I found it on Etsy. It is...Read More

10 Perks of Getting Married Young

I married my husband at the age of twenty-two.  Big whoop. I married young because there were two lives that needed to be meshed together for eternity. His and mine. I did not want to miss another minute of his life and he did not want to miss another one of mine. Listed below are ten what I think perks of getting married at such a young age. My search for Mr. Right is over. Sunday Thoughts, October 2nd

The sermon from last Sunday has been something that has been on my mind a lot lately. Towards the end of that sermon our pastor mentioned that he woke up that morning with a feeling that people of his church are in some kind of battle. A battle of addiction, grief, loss, or anything in that nature. He then asked for those that are battling with some kind of emotional or physical battle to stand up so him, along with everyone else in the church, can pray for them. Jonathan, eighty percent of the attendees, and I all stood up. I was not expecting that many people to be standing up with me. I almost did not want to stand up because...Read More

Sunday Thoughts

As you may have read before I am your typical military spouse. Read here. My husband had made the gracious decision to re-enlist and because of this I decided to put myself out there and get more involved in the military community. If this is going to be my life for a while why not, right? Right! I got involved by volunteering with the unit's family readiness program. I won't go into too much detail of what this program is because it is beside the point for this blog post. But it is basically a resource and referral program for the families within the unit. I was appointed as a Family Readiness Assistant in the beginning of the summer. With the title...Read More

I am a MilSo.

December 19th I married an United States Marine thus making me a military spouse. In the beginning months of our marriage I had absolutely no intention on being your typical military spouse nor did I think I was fit for the part. It did not match my personality and it was not a lifestyle I understood. It was not something that I was not able to avoid though. I thought my life would be the same after marriage with school, job, and everyday life. I was wrong. Slowly my life changed and I became your typical military spouse. I became affiliated and there was no running from it especially when you move to a city in the middle of nowhere and it is all you got....Read More
