Not Normal

My husband came home on Monday with our gifts for this year's Birthday Ball. I had asked for a shelf to be put up in our hallway to put these gifts on display and my husband told me no. The reasoning behind this no was that he did not want to do that at this house as if we were leaving soon. Keyword is the as if part of that sentence. We will more than likely be leaving soon but there is no such thing in plan yet. So why not hang the dang shelf? Sunday Thoughts, October 9th

I know I have not been at this very long BUT whatever just go with it. Blogging is such a fun learning experience about yourself. I have been complimented by so many about my writing and I sit there and laugh waiting for the punch line to their joke. None of them were joking and now I have let it all go to my head. Thanks guys. The sermon from last Sunday has been something that has been on my mind a lot lately. Towards the end of that sermon our pastor mentioned that he woke up that morning with a feeling that people of his church are in some kind of battle. A battle of addiction, grief, loss, or anything in that nature. As you may have read before I am your typical military spouse. Read here. My husband had made the gracious decision to re-enlist and because of this I decided to put myself out there and get more involved in the military community. If this is going to be my life for a while why not, right? Right! I got involved by volunteering with the unit's family readiness program. I won't go into too much detail of what this program is because it is beside the point for this blog post.
