The blog turned one!

There has been plenty going on around here and it has been making me a very busy women. Busy is a good thing though. We are going to play a little round of catch up.

Collaborate ‘n Listen turned ONE!

I still have no idea what I am doing but I keep on writing. It was a fun year with this blog. I definitely  took a lot of time learning on the side then actually blogging. But, I will get there. I did not expect anything to happen this year or even this next year. I am just here. This is for myself. This is my creative outlet. I am not here to make money, get free things, or be the most popular girl out there. I enjoy having this blog as my space to type the letters right off of this keyboard.

Bloggers, what is the biggest lesson that you have learned in your time of blogging?

Everyone meet Pearl.

We recently went out and purchased a brand new car. It is a 2017 Toyota Rav 4. Ain’t she cute? For the past year and a half we have been sharing one car. We were perfectly fine with sharing the car but it came time for something a bigger than a two door coup. I personally enjoyed the car rides to and from work together with my husband every single day.

This car was not on our radar at all! We gave each dealership a chance to win us over with their options. Toyota ended up winning.  My little heart was set on the Ford Explorer. But, before we went back to Ford we had to go look at Toyota as they were the last dealership we needed to look at. I am so glad I did not get a ford. I am so happy with this car. I really feel like we got our money’s worth.

Toyota’s really hold their value. They have all the bells and whistles that you would want in a car. This car can and will last us for the next five years.

Also, did you know they stopped making cars with the ability to play Cds?! Crazy. My friend bought the Beauty and the Beast album and she went to play it in my car and there was no where to put it! I was so baffled about this. Times are changing!

& then he said FOUR more years.

My handsome husband recently reenlisted in the Marine Corps. I think we bounced back and forth between the decision of him staying in or getting out. That is a really scary and stressful conversation to have. Each day it was a completely different plan with a lot of “what ifs”. I am so glad that a decision was made and finalized. It was fun to day dream about having a much more normal life but we will save that time for later. I am so proud of this handsome man of mine. He is doing great things in his life flawlessly. I love my Marine.

Also, FOUR MORE MARINE CORPS BALLS! Four more years of getting dress up in the ball gowns and standing next to this handsome man of mine in his dress blues. Oh yeah!

Just a little basket case,

I personally think that every blogger’s dream is to also have their own Etsy shop. Boy, am I full of ideas! One idea at a time though. My first Etsy shop is going to be gift baskets. I am hoping to roll out more than just gift baskets in the future. We will see how this goes!
I am in the beginning stages of this shop. I am designing the logo, ordering business cards, ordering supplies, and incorporating social media. I have a long way to go but I hope you keep me in mind for your next gift giving.

A blog will be coming soon with more information! Stay tuned. Just thought I would give you some insight on what is going on in this busy mind of mine!

etsy shop owners, any advise? Comment below!
